Last but not least – Mapon is a global company that strives to build a strong partner network to cover all regions of the world.

Mapon is using Text2Reach solution for automated SMS sending from the platform to their clients all over the World – addressees in more than 80 countries. There are two main business processes where the SMS-es are sent:

  1. device configuration. Many devices support configuration also via SMS. It means the devices installed in vehicles can be managed by sending SMS commands from the platform. The solution provides option also to receive the answers generated by the device. So it is two – directions communication using the SMS API.
  2. communication with platform users. There are many business scenarios where users should receive alerts or messages from the platform. For example – alerts related to their vehicle or messages for communication with platform users – drivers, managers etc. Most of users are using the mobile application or web portal for all the platform functionality. But there are business critical processes where it is critical to receive the information without delay 24/7 – even when you have no mobile network or you are away from your computer. For example – the vehicle is leaving an object, temperature in container is bellow the limit, SOS button is triggered, driver is overspeeding etc. In these cases SMS messages are sent in parallel because mobile phone is usually always with you! And there are still many users in our industry who are not using the smartphones. For these older phone models SMS is the only and the most trusted channel to guarantee information delivery to the end user.
